Namibia
Namibia is strikingly beautiful. With its pale blue skies, the red dunes of Sossusvlei, the Skeleton Coast and dry riverbeds, Namibia is a true paradise for nature lovers! Once a German colony, Namibia now impresses with well-developed infrastructure and excellent tourism facilities.
Best time to travel
Located in the southern hemisphere, Namibia’s seasons are the reverse of ours, with a subtropical continental climate. A long dry season and a short rainy season are typical here. In principle, Namibia can be travelled year-round. The best time to visit is between March and September, when the climate is dry. From May to September, daytime temperatures are pleasantly cool. These months are ideal for safaris, as wildlife gathers around waterholes and the clear air offers excellent visibility. Those wishing to experience the desert landscapes at their most captivating should also consider the winter months, when daytime temperatures in the Namib, Sossusvlei and Kalahari are pleasant and the nights are cooler.
