Best time to travel
The Namib Desert is best explored from April to September. At this time, temperatures are moderate and the air is clear, creating perfect conditions for hiking, safaris and photographic excursions. The quickest way to reach Sonop Lodge is by light aircraft from Windhoek airport, around 500 km away, landing directly on the lodge’s private airstrip. Those preferring to travel by car can reach the exclusive lodge in around four to five hours.
