Best time to travel
Thanks to its climatic diversity, Brazil offers a suitable region to visit in every season, depending on your preferences and planned activities. Temperatures remain summery and high across most parts of the country. For the southeast coast around Rio de Janeiro, the best time to visit is between April and October, when temperatures are mild and rainfall is low. During the famous Carnival celebrations in February, it is hot and humid. The Amazon region is best explored during the dry season between June and November, when lower water levels make hiking and wildlife spotting easier. For the northeast (Bahia, Recife, etc.) and southern Brazil (Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, etc.), the ideal time to visit is between September and March. Warm summer weather with little rainfall prevails during this period.
