About the hotel
Omaanda Lodge, part of the Zannier Hotels Group, is an exclusive chalet-style retreat set within a 9,000-hectare private nature and wildlife reserve on the edge of the Kalahari. A stay at Omaanda offers a unique fusion of wellness and relaxation, alongside exceptional encounters with nature and wildlife. The huts are built in a traditional Namibian style, with rounded edges and handcrafted thatched roofs. Yet nothing is compromised when it comes to luxury and comfort: the accommodations feature a walk-in dressing room, an open fireplace, a bathroom with walk-in shower, double vanity and a bathtub with a wonderful view. From the generous terrace, you can take in beautiful sunrises and sunsets and, with a little luck, spot animals passing by.

Families with children aged six and above are warmly welcomed at Omaanda. They may take part in a range of activities, although some experiences — such as the Cheetah Walk — are reserved for teenagers aged 16 and over. Children are also welcome at the reserve’s feeding sessions for older animals or on a guided nature walk, where they can learn a great deal about the local flora and fauna. The resort team also lovingly arranges special experiences such as visits to the kitchen and chef, board games and lessons in conservation.

The best time to visit Windhoek is from April to September.
