Mauritius
Mauritius has so much to offer: sunshine, white sand beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, sweeping volcanic landscapes, gentle trade winds, elegant golf courses and, above all, exceptional hotels. Highlights include the giant water lilies in the botanical garden, the coloured earth near the waterfalls of Chamarel and the fragrant spice markets.
Best time to travel
The best time to visit Mauritius is from May to December, when the weather is dry and pleasantly warm – ideal for beach days, water sports and exploring the island. From December to April, the climate is tropical, with higher temperatures and occasional short showers. October to December is particularly recommended for divers and snorkellers, as the water is especially clear at this time. Mauritius delights year-round with its tropical charm and rich variety.
