Best time to travel

The best time to visit Jordan is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, temperatures of 20–30 °C are ideal for exploring remarkable historical sites such as Petra or Jerash, or enjoying the singular experience of a night in the desert in Wadi Rum. Summer brings hot, dry weather, while winter offers cool nights and occasional rain, especially in the highlands, though these seasons, too, appeal to travellers who prefer to discover the region at a gentler pace.
