Montenegro
Montenegro is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic for good reason: it remains a true insider destination, with many authentic places that have not been shaped by the crowds. It also offers the chance to discover the country, its people and their way of life in a genuine and meaningful way. Above all, though, it is Montenegro’s diverse scenery that captivates most visitors: Europe’s longest sandy beach, colourful coastal villages, snow-capped peaks, rushing rivers and crystal-clear glacial lakes can all be found here. Whether you are drawn by the beach, culture, adventure or hiking, this multifaceted country has something for everyone.
Best time to travel
Montenegro enchants with its variety and offers distinctive experiences depending on the season. The months from May to September are especially ideal for experiencing the country in all its splendour. In spring, nature is at its most beautiful – perfect for hikes in the mountains or exploring historic towns such as Kotor and Budva, with pleasantly mild temperatures. Summer draws visitors to the Adriatic’s beaches with warm weather and crystal-clear water, ideal for beach stays and sailing along the coast. In autumn, when the crowds begin to fade, Montenegro reveals a calm, romantic atmosphere – perfect for those who wish to discover its beauty at a slower pace.
