Vietnam is becoming an increasingly compelling travel destination. Traditional charm, exceptionally welcoming people and scenic beauty make this South-East Asian country so captivating. Ha Long Bay in the north, the Mekong Delta in the south, green rice fields and an endlessly long coastline are among the country’s most remarkable attractions. Those with an interest in culture should make a stop in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) or Hanoi, both of which offer a wealth of fascinating sights, from pagodas and temples to old colonial buildings
North: The best time to visit Hanoi and Ha Long Bay is during the dry season from October to April. Even so, evenings in December and January can be rather cool. Central Vietnam: Hoi An, Hue and Da Nang enjoy warm, dry weather from mid-January to the end of August. Nha Trang is best enjoyed from late December through to September. South: The Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao enjoy a tropical climate. Here, the dry season extends from November to early May.
