Best time to travel
Ecuador is a richly varied destination that can be visited year-round, with the best time depending on the region. In the Andes, including Quito, the dry months from June to September as well as December and January are considered ideal, with clear days and pleasant temperatures. For the Amazon region, the months from August to November are especially suitable, as there is less rainfall and wildlife is easier to spot. The Galápagos Islands offer warm weather and clear waters from December to May, perfect for snorkelling, while from June to November cooler temperatures and more active wildlife create an equally fascinating experience. Along the coast, the warm rainy season from December to May is the best time for beach visits, as sunny days are accompanied only by brief showers.
