The best time to visit Etosha National Park is during the dry season from June to October. During these months, temperatures are pleasant and animals gather more frequently around the waterholes, allowing for spectacular wildlife viewing. September and October are considered peak safari months in particular, as the vegetation is sparser and animals are easier to spot.

Etosha National Park, in northern Namibia, is one of the most celebrated and impressive wildlife reserves in southern Africa. The park stretches around the vast Etosha Pan, a salt-encrusted plain that temporarily fills with water after rainfall, attracting flamingos and other waterbirds in large numbers. Etosha is home to more than 100 mammal species, including elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and giraffes, as well as prolific birdlife with more than 300 species.
The park is especially known for its well-positioned waterholes, where wildlife gathers during the dry months and visitors can enjoy unforgettable sightings. Its varied landscapes, from dense mopane woodland to open grass and thorn savannah, create a spectacular natural setting and ideal habitats for a remarkable range of animals.
