Best time to travel

The best time to visit Waiheke Island is between October and April. During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, ideal for visiting wineries, enjoying the beaches and taking part in outdoor activities such as hiking and boat trips. Summer (December to Februaryy) is especially well suited to beach days and wine tours. 

Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) bring mild temperatures, making them equally wonderful times to explore the island at a gentler pace and enjoy its beautiful natural surroundings.

    The Boatshed can be reached from Germany via an international flight to Auckland, followed by a ferry journey of around 35 minutes to Waiheke Island. From the ferry, it is around a 10-minute drive to the lodge.
