Best time to travel
The best time to visit Northland is between November and April. During these months, the weather is warm and pleasant — perfect for exploring the beaches, enjoying watersports and visiting celebrated sights such as Cape Reinga. Summer (December to Februaryy) offers especially ideal conditions for beach days and outdoor adventures.
Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are also excellent times to visit, with mild temperatures that make activities such as hiking and exploring the coastline especially relaxed.
