Best time to travel

The best time to visit Kaikoura in New Zealand is between November and April. During these months, the weather is mild to warm, ideal for outdoor activities and observing marine wildlife such as whales, dolphins and sea lions. Summer (December to Februaryy) in particular brings stable conditions and clear visibility for boat trips and wildlife encounters. Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are also wonderful times to visit. The cooler winter months (June to August) also offer good opportunities for whale watching.
