Best time to travel
The best time to visit Kangaroo Island is between October and May. During these months, temperatures are pleasant and there is a good chance of seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. The summer months from December to Februaryy are especially ideal for enjoying the beaches and coastal landscapes. From May to September, conditions can be cooler and wetter, but these months are still well suited to hiking and quieter experiences away from the crowds.

Southern Ocean Lodge can be reached from Germany via an international flight to Adelaide, Australia. From there, a short domestic flight to Kangaroo Island is followed by a transfer to the lodge.
