Die Orpheus Island Lodge ist ein exklusives, kleines Inselresort am Great Barrier Reef und ideal für alle, die Ruhe und Natur in stilvollem Ambiente suchen. Auf der rund 1.000 Hektar großen Privatinsel verteilen sich nur 14 Zimmer, Suiten und Villen – für maximal 28 Gäste. Entsprechend persönlich und entspannt ist die Atmosphäre. Herzstück ist das offene Restaurant mit Blick aufs Meer, ergänzt durch Bar, Spa und einen großzügigen Infinity-Pool. Das Konzept ist all-inclusive: Gourmetküche, ausgewählte Getränke und viele Aktivitäten sind bereits im Aufenthalt enthalten.
Kids & Teens
Orpheus Island Lodge ist zwar kein klassisches Familienresort, heißt Familien aber willkommen. Besonders geeignet ist sie für naturbegeisterte Kinder und Teens, die gerne draußen aktiv sind. Schnorcheln, Kajakfahren, Stand-up-Paddling oder kleine Bootsabenteuer sorgen für Abwechslung. Die North Beachfront Villa bietet mit zwei Schlafzimmern viel Platz für Familien. Einen klassischen Kids Club gibt es nicht – stattdessen steht das gemeinsame Entdecken der Insel im Vordergrund. Ergänzend gibt es einen Games Room, der auch bei jüngeren Gästen gut ankommt.

Best time to travel
The best time to visit the Great Barrier Reef is from May to October. These months fall within the dry season, with warm temperatures, clear water and little rain, creating ideal conditions for snorkelling, diving and boat trips. From November to April, temperatures are hotter, and there is a greater chance of rainfall as well as jellyfish season.

Die Anreise erfolgt per Flug nach Australien, meist über internationale Drehkreuze nach Townsville. Von dort bringt ein etwa 30-minütiger Helikopterflug die Gäste direkt auf die Insel – ein spektakulärer Start in den Urlaub.
