Kimberley
The Kimberley region in north-western Australia captivates with untamed wilderness, dramatic gorges and ancient rock formations. Covering almost 423,000 square kilometres — roughly the size of California — it reveals extraordinary natural wonders such as the Bungle Bungles, Horizontal Falls and Mitchell Falls. The region is also known for its rich Aboriginal culture and rock art dating back thousands of years. The legendary Gibb River Road, one of the last great Outback adventure routes, cuts through the Kimberley and offers access to some of Australia’s most spectacular scenery.
A boat trip through Horizontal Falls offers a thrilling way to experience these remarkable cascades up close. Walks in Purnululu National Park lead to the extraordinary Bungle Bungles, while helicopter flights reveal breathtaking views over Mitchell Falls. Children and adults alike can discover the region’s fascinating wildlife and join guided tours offering insight into the rich culture of Aboriginal communities.
