Ceylon Tea Trails

About the hotel

Set amid the storied Bogawantalawa Valley in Sri Lanka, where the renowned Ceylon tea is still grown today, lies the luxury retreat Ceylon Tea Trails. Beautifully tucked into a dreamlike landscape at 1,250 metres above sea level, five exclusive and individually designed bungalows create an atmosphere of luxurious comfort. Each bungalow features a dining room, a terrace with a swimming pool, and its own private butler and chef. Ceylon Tea Trails promises an unforgettable stay amid the Central Highlands, spectacular lakes, winding roads and waterfalls.

Kids & Teens

Children are warmly welcomed at Ceylon Tea Trails and enjoy a wonderful holiday here. The extraordinary surroundings are a dream for children and promise countless adventures. Ceylon Tea Trails does not offer dedicated facilities such as a kids’ club or teens’ club. Families can, however, enjoy activities together such as kayaking on Castlereagh Lake while exploring the beautiful surroundings. For children with a culinary curiosity, there is the Junior Chef programme, where they can discover local recipes and prepare them themselves. A babysitting service is also available on request, allowing parents to enjoy moments of complete relaxation.

Experiences & Activities

Exploring the tea plantations, indulgent spa treatments and yoga with mountain views are among the highlights. Cycling, hiking and boat trips on the lake are also on offer. Ceylon Tea Trails delights its guests with an exquisite blend of international and local cuisine, inspired by the flavours of the region. Meals are tailored to guests’ individual wishes and served either in the elegant dining rooms of the bungalows or during a private dinner set among the tea plantations.
