The best time to visit Jawai Bandh, one of Rajasthan’s most distinctive wildlife sanctuaries, is between October and March. During this cool, dry season, the chances of spotting the region’s famed leopards are particularly high. At this time of year, the region also sees an impressive abundance of birdlife, including migratory species such as flamingos and cranes that gather around the Jawai reservoir.

Travel is via a flight from Germany to Delhi or Jaipur, followed by a transfer of around four hours to Jawai. Alternatively, a private transfer from Jodhpur airport can be arranged, taking around two hours.
