Best time to travel
The best time to visit Le Morne is from May to December. During these months, Mauritius experiences its so-called "winter" – with pleasantly warm temperatures, little rainfall and plenty of sunshine. Perfect for beach escapes, watersports and island exploration. September to November is considered especially ideal: the sea is calm and clear, the climate dry, and the island at its most beautiful.
The months of Januaryy to March are hotter and more humid, with occasional tropical showers and the possibility of cyclones – though the island is noticeably quieter then. For surfing or kitesurfing, the best wind conditions are usually found between June and August.
