Best time to travel

Perthshire, known as "Big Tree Country", is a perfect destination for nature lovers from May to September. The forests are lush and green, and the mild temperatures invite walking, cycling and visits to historic castles and gardens. That said, in Scotland it is always wise to expect a little rain too, with around twelve rainy days a month depending on the season, even in summer. At times, you may experience sunshine, cloud and drizzle all in a single day. Yet just as quickly as it arrives, it can pass again.
