The best time to visit the Lofoten Islands depends on the experience you are looking for.
From June to August, long days of midnight sun, milder temperatures and ideal conditions for hiking, kayaking and boat trips await.
From September to March, the region reveals a quieter, wintry side, with good chances of seeing the Northern Lights, dramatic shifting light and fewer crowds. Spring and autumn are especially suited to travellers who want to savour nature and atmosphere away from the high season.
