Best time to travel
The best time to visit Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula is between December and April, when the weather is dry, pleasantly warm and sunny. These months are ideal for exploring remarkable Maya sites such as Chichén Itzá, Tulum and Uxmal, while also enjoying the beautiful beaches along the Caribbean coast. Activities such as snorkelling, diving and boat trips to Isla Mujeres or Cozumel are also at their best at this time of year.
In May and June, as well as in November, temperatures are warmer and humidity rises slightly, though the weather reMayns largely pleasant, making these months equally suitable for travel. November in particular is appealing, with lush green vegetation following the rainy season.
Between July and October, the rainy season brings more frequent showers and the possibility of tropical storms, which can make outdoor activities a little more limited. Even so, the region reveals its vibrant tropical character at this time and is perfect for travellers seeking tranquillity and more attractive travel periods. Yucatán reMayns a fascinating destination that can be enjoyed for most of the year.
