White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa
in our eyes
With its steady winds, White Sand is an absolute haven for kitesurfers and those keen to become one. Paje, on Zanzibar’s east coast, does however experience significant tidal movement. High and low tide alternate roughly every six hours, meaning you can enjoy a beautiful walk at low tide and a swim in crystal-clear water when the tide is midway.
Best time to travel
The best time to visit Paje on Zanzibar is from June to September. During these months, dry, sunny weather and pleasant temperatures make Paje an ideal destination for water sports such as kitesurfing and diving. The consistent winds and shallow waters create perfect conditions for kitesurfers, while divers can explore colourful coral reefs and the rich marine world.
Paje is also known for its long, unspoilt beaches, ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. The dry season brings clear, cloudless days, making these months perfect for either a peaceful beach escape or more adventurous exploration.
