Kids & Teens
Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at the lodge and can take part in specially designed activities, including nature walks and cultural experiences. Bush barbecues are also arranged for children. Please note, however, that gorilla trekking is only available from the age of 15. Babysitting is available on request.

Best time to travel
The best time to visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda is during June, July, August and September, as well as Januaryy and Februaryy. These months offer the best conditions for gorilla trekking, as the trails are drier and less muddy, making it easier to move through the dense rainforest. Cooler temperatures also make the demanding hikes through the mountainous terrain more comfortable.

Access is via Kisoro Airstrip, followed by a 2-3-hour drive to the lodge. Alternatively, there is an 8-hour drive from Kampala or Kigali. Transfers to and from the airports can be arranged by the lodge to ensure a seamless arrival.
