Best time to travel
Grumeti Reserve in Tanzania is best visited from June to October. During this dry season, conditions are ideal for watching the great migration of wildebeest and zebra as they pass through the reserve. Temperatures are warm yet pleasant, and the clear views offer striking perspectives on the animals’ movements. These months also provide ideal safari conditions, as the sparse, low vegetation and water sources make wildlife easier to spot.

Grumeti Reserve
Grumeti Reserve, a protected area in the western corridor of the Serengeti and something of a hidden gem, is known for its luxurious accommodation, breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. This exclusive and little-visited region offers families an incomparable safari experience with a perfect balance of adventure and comfort.
At Grumeti Reserve, families can enjoy thrilling safaris, observing large herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope, along with predators such as lions, leopards and cheetah in their natural habitat. Private game drives make it possible to experience the wildlife at close range, far from the usual tourist routes. For adventurous families, the reserve also offers guided walking safaris, where children can learn a great deal about the region’s flora and fauna. A particular highlight is watching the famous river crossings during the Great Migration, when thousands of animals cross the Grumeti River. In the evening, families can relax in luxurious tented suites or lodges, dine beneath the African night sky and savour the sounds of the wilderness.
