About the hotel
Sir Richard Branson’s Ulusaba is a luxurious safari lodge in the western part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, close to Kruger National Park. Ulusaba comprises two lodges: Rock Lodge with Cliff Lodge, and Safari Lodge. Its extraordinary setting on a 240-metre hill, nestled among rocks and bush, enchants guests with breathtaking panoramic views across the African wilderness. The name Ulusaba is beautifully chosen, meaning "place of little fear" and referring to the rock that once served as a lookout for ancient warriors. Here, you can expect luxurious comfort, the Aroma Boma Spa with exceptional treatments, excellent cuisine, and wonderfully attentive service.
Kids & Teens
Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at Rock Lodge, while Safari Lodge does not allow infants or children. As children under six cannot join safaris, they are offered an exciting and varied programme at the Cub’s Club instead. This includes treasure hunts, games, books, and DVDs, among other activities. Babysitting is also available. Children over six may join their parents on game drives, though bush walks are not yet suitable for them.

During this dry season, temperatures are pleasant and wildlife viewing is excellent, as the vegetation is sparse and water sources are limited. These months are also ideal for night drives, offering the chance to encounter the nocturnal wildlife that would otherwise reMayn hidden.

Ulusaba is around a 1 ½-hour flight from Johannesburg International Airport. Alternatively, you can take a charter flight to the private Ulusaba airstrip from Nelspruit in 20 minutes or from Skukuza in 15 minutes. By car, it is around 2 ½ hours from Nelspruit.
