At Tswalu Loapi, the focus is on safaris and immersive nature experiences. With a private safari vehicle, guide and tracker, children of all ages are welcome and can create lifelong memories on a family safari. Whether on a game drive, learning the art of tracking or identifying animals, children discover a great deal in Tswalu’s open-air classroom and are sure to be captivated. Bush walks, picnics, horse riding, pizza making and biscuit baking are also on offer. Younger guests can also take part in the Junior Ranger programme.

Best time to travel
The best time to visit the Kalahari is shortly after the rainy season, from March to May, as well as from September to November. In spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), temperatures are milder and conditions are ideal for desert safaris. These months bring pleasant temperatures, less dust and the chance to fully appreciate the flora and fauna of the Kalahari.
That said, even the hot summer months (December to Februaryy) are well worth considering for a visit. After the long dry season, the region stirs back to life with the first rains. The landscape turns green once more and countless plants begin to bloom.
