Molori Safari Lodge

About the hotel

The award-winning Molori Safari Lodge is set within the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North West Province, close to the border with Botswana. Here, breathtaking views across the Dwarsberg Mountains and the Madikwe Valley await. As if that were not enough, this region is home to the Big Five, joined by cheetahs and endangered African wild dogs to create the celebrated Big Seven. With just five suites, each thoughtfully spaced apart, the lodge offers families a wonderful sense of privacy. You will also enjoy gourmet cuisine and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. This blend of luxury and nature makes Molori Safari Lodge an unforgettable experience.

Kids & Teens

For children, Molori Safari Lodge opens up a world of adventure and discovery. The rangers delight in sharing their knowledge with younger guests, guiding their attention to both the grand and smaller wonders of the natural world. Children can join exciting outings and, for example, learn the art of tracking. Other activities at the lodge include pizza making, a variety of games, and creative pursuits. Add to that the vast pool on your private terrace and attentive staff who are delighted to look after the children – what more could a family wish for?! Children of all ages may join the game drives if a private vehicle with a private guide is booked.

Experiences & Activities

Experience thrilling safari drives, where you can encounter the Big Five, Big Seven, and other fascinating wildlife. Set out on guided bush walks and discover the African wilderness at close quarters. Night safaris and wild dog sightings are especially memorable. Afterwards, unwind with a luxurious spa treatment or enjoy stargazing beneath a different hemisphere. Best time to travel

The best time to visit Madikwe Game Reserve is during the dry season from May to September. During these months, the vegetation is less dense and animals often gather around waterholes, resulting in outstanding wildlife viewing. Temperatures are mild to cool, especially in the early morning and evening, which are ideal for game drives.

From November to April, there can be more rain, but the landscape becomes greener and lusher, and there is an abundance of newborn animals. Bird lovers can observe a wide variety of migratory species. The rains can also bring higher humidity.
