Finch Hattons Luxury Camp
in our eyes
Many overlook Tsavo National Park, not realising how highly it is regarded by experienced safari guides. As Kenya’s largest wildlife park, with only a handful of lodges, it offers a notably exclusive experience. Finch Hattons Camp, the park’s only truly luxurious camp, is so remote that the rest of the world quickly fades away. Here, you feel entirely immersed in the dramatic landscape and rich wildlife. Experience a safari reminiscent of another age, in a camp that offers modern 5-star luxury with the lightest possible impact on nature.
Best time to travel
The best time to visit Tsavo National Park in Kenya is from July to September, as well as in Januaryy and Februaryy. During these dry months, water sources are limited, leading to remarkable concentrations of wildlife, including Tsavo’s famous “red elephants”, lions and buffalo.
Safari activities are especially rewarding at this time, as animals are often found at the few reMayning waterholes. The dry, sunny weather also offers ideal conditions for photography and landscape shots. Tsavo is also known for its breathtaking landscapes, from sweeping savannahs to volcanic hills, which are particularly alluring at this time.

This vast region stretches across around 22,000 square kilometres and is known for its endless savannahs, volcanic hills and the famous “red elephants”, whose distinctive hue comes from the park’s red earth. Tsavo is home to abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, buffalo and the rare black rhino.
Families will enjoy unforgettable adventures in Tsavo. Enjoy thrilling safaris and watch majestic wildlife in its natural habitat. Visit Mzima Springs in Tsavo West, where crystal-clear water bubbles up from underground springs and crocodiles and hippos make their home.
