The months from October to April are particularly well suited to a journey to Aswan. The weather is mild, the nights pleasant, and excursions to temples, islands or along the Nile can be enjoyed with ease. From May to September, the heat can be very intense, making long shore visits and desert tours more challenging. Those travelling in summer should plan activities for the early morning or late evening. For relaxed sightseeing and Nile cruises, the period from autumn to spring is the ideal choice.
