As the minimum age for gorilla trekking is 15, the villa offers childcare services and a wide variety of activities to keep younger guests engaged and entertained. The lodge also offers golden monkey trekking, available from the age of 12.

Best time to travel
The best time to visit Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda is from June to September, as well as from December to Januaryy. These months bring dry conditions that make hiking through the dense rainforest easier. They are also the best months for guided gorilla trekking, when you can encounter the rare mountain gorillas in their natural environment.
Other wildlife sightings, such as golden monkeys, are also especially rewarding during these months. Cooler temperatures and lower rainfall make trekking across the terrain more comfortable and ensure good visibility, which is particularly valuable for photographers.
From Germany, the flight to Kigali, Rwanda, takes around 8 to 9 hours. From Kigali, it is approximately a 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park and the lodge.
