The villa offers six artfully designed suites, each with its own character, bold colours, South African art and luxurious fabrics. At its heart is the light-filled "Long Room", with bar, lounge, billiards table and open dining area. Outside, a heated pool and several terraces invite long, lingering afternoons. The private kitchen and dedicated chef create deeply personal dining experiences using ingredients from the estate's own garden. Guests also enjoy access to all the amenities of La Residence, including the spa, wine tastings and award-winning restaurants.
Kids & Teens
La Residence offers Vineyard Suites that are ideal for families with children under 10: plenty of space, private terraces and family-friendly areas to retreat to. Children can enjoy activities such as Junior MasterChef classes, flower-arranging workshops, creative sessions, pony feeding or parents' evenings with pizza, films and popcorn – all thoughtfully supervised by the team. Teenagers (aged 10 and above) are also welcome and have access to retreat spaces within the Vineyard Suites. Families can enjoy cycling tours together, hikes in the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve, museum visits or quad biking adventures.
Experiences & Activities
La Residence offers a rich blend of gastronomy, nature and culture: farm-to-table cuisine, afternoon tea, Chef's Table, romantic vineyard picnics and exclusive wine tastings from the estate's own boutique winery. Guests can discover the region on cycling tours, along 10 hiking trails in the nature reserve, on e-bike rides into the village, or by helicopter to striking viewpoints or the coast for whale watching. Car enthusiasts will also love the Franschhoek Motor Museum – a highlight for all ages. The spa offers treatments in the spa room, in-suite or in the teahouse overlooking the pond, alongside bespoke wellness packages.
