Hiram Bingham, a Belmond Train

The Hiram Bingham, Belmond’s luxurious train, offers one of the most exclusive ways to experience the journey to Machu Picchu. Named after the explorer of the lost city, this elegant train pairs Peruvian tradition with contemporary luxury. Its opulent 1920s-style carriages, finished with rich woods and polished brass, make the journey unforgettable, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Andes. On board, enjoy exquisite Peruvian cuisine and traditional live music as you travel through the Sacred Valley.

Kids & Teens

Children aged 12 and over are welcome on board the Hiram Bingham. Although the train is primarily designed for adults, older children and teenagers can still enjoy the striking landscapes and cultural experiences on board. There are, however, no dedicated programmes for children.

Experiences & Activities

The journey aboard the Hiram Bingham carries you through the spectacular Sacred Valley of the Incas to Machu Picchu. Along the way, enjoy a gourmet lunch, traditional music and a luxurious atmosphere. On arrival at Machu Picchu, a guided tour of this fascinating ancient site awaits. On the return journey to Cusco, an exquisite dinner is served, accompanied by live music that reflects Peru’s rich cultural heritage.
