Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train

The Eastern & Oriental Express, Belmond’s luxurious train, embodies timeless elegance and offers an exquisite way to discover the diverse landscapes and cultures of Southeast Asia. The beautifully appointed cabins, styled with colonial flair and ranging from Pullman to State and Presidential Suites, ensure the utmost comfort. On board, guests can savour exceptional cuisine inspired by regional flavours, served in two magnificent dining cars. The piano bar car invites leisurely evening drinks, while the open-air observation car at the rear of the train reveals breathtaking views of the passing landscape.

Kids & Teens

Children aged 11 and over are welcome on board. There are, however, no dedicated programmes for children or teenagers, as the focus is on a relaxed and luxurious experience for adults.

Experiences & Activities

Discover the wonders of Malaysia in an exclusive way: the Eastern & Oriental Express offers two seasonal routes, each lasting four days and three nights, beginning and ending in Singapore. The "Essence of Malaysia" route travels to Langkawi and Penang between November and February, while "Wild Malaysia" runs from March to October through the Malaysian jungle and on to Penang. Experiences include guided tours through historic towns such as Kuala Kangsar and Langkawi, tea in picturesque plantations, and the chance to take in the remarkable scenery in luxurious comfort.
