Andean Explorer, a Belmond Train
The Andean Explorer, Belmond’s luxurious sleeper train, offers an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. As South America’s first luxury sleeper train, it connects the historic city of Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire, with majestic Lake Titicaca and the "White City" of Arequipa. The beautifully appointed suites, inspired by traditional Peruvian craftsmanship, are designed for the utmost comfort. On board, guests enjoy exquisite Peruvian cuisine in elegant dining cars, unwind in the piano bar car, and admire the passing landscapes from the open-air observation car.
Kids & Teens
Children aged 7 and over are welcome on board the Andean Explorer. Although there are no dedicated programmes for children, the remarkable landscapes, Lake Titicaca and the cultural excursions offer engaging experiences for the whole family.
Experiences & Activities
Journeys on the Andean Explorer feature thoughtfully curated itineraries ranging from one to two days. Highlights include a boat trip on Lake Titicaca, visits to the Uros floating islands, and guided tours of historic sites such as the rock necropolis of Sillustani. On board, guests are treated to culinary delights inspired by local Andean ingredients. Relax in the "Picaflor" spa carriage or while watching the sunrise over the Andes.
