Best time to travel
The ideal time to travel this route is between June and September, during the dry season in Rwanda and Tanzania. During this period, conditions for chimpanzee and gorilla trekking are ideal, with dry trails that are easy to navigate. Temperatures are also pleasantly mild, and wildlife viewing in the Serengeti is especially rewarding as animals gather around the waterholes.

how to get there
Travel to Rwanda is typically via Kigali, which is served by several international airports. From Kigali, you continue to One&Only Nyungwe House, around a five-hour drive away. After your stay in Nyungwe, travel on to Singita Kwitonda Lodge on the edge of Volcanoes National Park, approximately two to three hours away by road. You then fly to Tanzania to Singita Sasakwa Lodge in the Serengeti, reached by charter flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro.
