During this period, you can expect clear views and pleasant temperatures – perfect for exploring highlights such as Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and the Amazon region. May and September are especially something of an insider’s secret: fewer visitors, stable weather conditions and vibrant natural beauty. If you would also like to enjoy the coast around Lima, the best time to travel is between April and October, when the climate is mild and conditions are pleasant.

The flight from Germany to Lima, Peru takes around 12 to 14 hours. The journey then continues with a domestic flight of around two hours to Iquitos, where the adventure begins.
