Best time to travel
The best time to visit Namibia is during the dry season from April to October, when the weather is pleasant, wildlife viewing is at its best and the landscapes glow in beautifully clear colours. June to September in particular offers ideal safari conditions, as animals gather around waterholes. The second-best travel period is from November to March, also known as the green season. During this time, brief showers bring the natural world into bloom, making the landscapes feel all the more vibrant. It is also an excellent time for birdwatching, especially for migratory birds that spend the season in Namibia.
