Best time to travel

The best time to visit Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, temperatures are pleasantly mild, ideal for exploring Marrakech as well as hiking in the Atlas Mountains. Spring brings landscapes into bloom, while autumn offers clear views of the mountain peaks. In summer (June to August), Marrakech can become very hot, with temperatures above 40°C, while the Atlas Mountains remain cooler and well suited to walking.

    Kasbah Tamadot ist wie ein Traum aus 1001 Nacht! Sir Richard Branson, der Gründer des Virgin Imperiums entdeckte bei einer seiner Ballonfahrten eine alte Kasbah am Fuße des Atlas-Gebirges. Er hat das alte Gebäude zu einem landestypisch-orientalischen Luxushotel umbauen lassen. Das familiär geführte Hotel überzeugt mit einem fantastischen Blick auf die beschneiten Berge und das grüne Tal.

    Atlas Mountains

    Das Atlasgebirge, das sich über 2.500 Kilometer durch Marokko, Algerien und Tunesien erstreckt, ist eine beeindruckende Bergkette, die das Land in verschiedene klimatische und geografische Zonen unterteilt. In Marokko erstreckt sich das Gebirge von der Atlantikküste bis zur algerischen Grenze und bietet eine Vielzahl von Landschaften, von üppigen Tälern und grünen Wäldern bis hin zu kargen, schneebedeckten Gipfeln. Der höchste Punkt ist der Toubkal, der mit 4.167 Metern der höchste Berg Nordafrikas ist.
