Best time to travel

The ideal time for this journey is from June to October, as well as from January to March. In Kenya, these months fall during the dry season, offering optimal safari conditions. The Seychelles, meanwhile, are a dream destination year-round, with April to October being especially pleasant thanks to warm, sunny weather.

    Arrival is via Nairobi’s international airport (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport). From there, you can continue on a domestic flight to nearby Nanyuki Airstrip, located around an hour from Segera Retreat. Alternatively, private charter flights are available for a more direct and comfortable arrival.

    Laikipia

    Die Laikipia-Region in Kenia beherbergt eines der bedeutendsten Naturschutzgebiete Ostafrikas, das sich über eine weite Savannenlandschaft erstreckt. Sie ist Heimat einer beeindruckenden Tierwelt, darunter Elefanten, Löwen, Leoparden, Giraffen und die seltenen Grevy-Zebras sowie Spitzmaulnashorn („black“) und Breitmaulnashorn („white“). Laikipia bietet einzigartige Safari-Erlebnisse, bei denen Besucher sowohl traditionelle Pirschfahrten als auch Fußsafaris unternehmen können. Besonders beeindruckend sind Aktivitäten wie das Aufspüren von Löwen mit erfahrenen Guides oder der Besuch lokaler Dörfer, um mehr über die Kultur der Samburu und Maasai zu erfahren.
