About the cruise ship

Le Champlain is the second ship in the PONANT EXPLORERS series, combining a spirit of adventure with five-star service. With capacity for up to 184 guests in 92 cabins and suites, she offers an intimate atmosphere for voyages of discovery. On board, you will find two restaurants, a spa and thoughtfully designed shared spaces that bring together comfort and elegance.

Kids & Teens

Children aged seven and over are warmly welcomed aboard Le Champlain. Although there are no dedicated kids clubs, family-friendly activities are offered, including excursions to natural wonders and explorations of unique polar landscapes suited to all ages.

Sample cruise itinerary

Upon your arrival in Copenhagen, you will be transferred to embark on Le Champlain. You will be welcomed on board and introduced to the journey ahead. Dinner is served, followed by your first moments of exploration.
In Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, you will visit museums and cultural landmarks. There is also the option to take a boat trip along the fjords.
You will visit Ilulissat, renowned for its spectacular icefjords and glaciers. Boat trips through the Icefjord and time immersed in nature are part of the experience.
Explore the French overseas islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, with visits to historic sites and insights into the islands’ distinctive culture and heritage.
In Gros Morne National Park in Canada, you will discover dramatic scenery and remarkable geological formations. Hiking and nature exploration are possible.
L'Anse aux Meadows offers the chance to explore the remains of the first Viking settlement in North America and step back into history.
Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island offers cultural highlights and historic landmarks, framed by natural beauty.
After returning to Copenhagen, disembarkation follows. You may explore the city or be transferred to the airport for your journey home.

how to get there

The flight from Germany to Copenhagen takes around 2-3 hours. From Copenhagen, you will transfer to Greenland for embarkation. Alternatively, the journey can also begin from other ports of departure, depending on the route.
