Best time to travel
The best time to visit the Northern Territory is between April and October. During these months, the weather is dry and pleasant with mild temperatures, ideal for exploring breathtaking landscapes and national parks such as Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and Kakadu National Park. The winter months from June to August are particularly ideal for hiking and sightseeing, without the oppressive heat of summer.
From November to March, the Northern Territory is hot and humid, as this period marks the rainy and cyclone season. For adventurous travellers wanting to experience the tropical vegetation at its most lush, this can still be a rewarding time to visit — especially for those seeking a quieter experience.
