Best time to travel
The best time to visit the Galápagos Islands is from Januaryy to June, particularly if you prefer warm weather and calm waters. At this time, the islands are green and in bloom, with warm temperatures of around 25–30°C. The rainy season between December and May brings lush growth and the best conditions for wildlife sightings. The cooler months from July to November are also a good time to visit, especially for those who prefer fresher weather and stronger winds. During this period, water temperatures are slightly lower, but the chances of seeing certain animals, such as marine mammals, are higher.
Travel to Grace is via a flight to Baltra Airport (GPS) in the Galápagos Islands. From there, we will arrange a private transfer to the harbour for you.
Galapagos
The Galapagos Islands, a remote archipelago in the Pacific Ocean around 1,000 kilometres off the coast of Ecuador, are a true natural wonder. Famed for their singular wildlife and their importance to Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, these volcanic islands reveal an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna, including the iconic giant tortoises, marine iguanas and Darwin’s finches. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, the islands comprise 13 large islands and more than 100 smaller ones, each with its own ecological niche and strict conservation measures designed to protect this remarkable biodiversity.
The Galapagos Islands are an exceptional destination for families eager to discover the wonders of the natural world together. Children can snorkel among brightly coloured fish, playful sea lions and graceful sea turtles. Guided tours and nature walks offer the chance to explore the islands safely while learning from expert naturalist guides about their unique wildlife and plant life. Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and boat excursions add further adventure, creating unforgettable family memories.
