Last December I was lucky enough to go on a three-stage round trip through South Africa. And even though I already had high expectations, they were definitely exceeded! Our trip through South Africa took us to places that simply overwhelmed us with their diversity and beauty. It was this special mixture of luxury and wild, untamed nature that never ceased to amaze us. Here you are not just an observer, but right in the middle of it - between untouched wilderness and a touch of exclusivity that makes the trip so unique.
Sabi Sabi Lodge, which has been family-owned since 1979, sees it as an art to combine luxury and the untouched nature of Africa. The owners want to convey this special experience to their guests and they succeed in doing so perfectly.
Even the drive from the airstrip to the camp was a bit of an adventure. We were greeted by elephants, buffaloes and even giraffes - an unforgettable start to our stay. This closeness to nature is also reflected in the lodge. We stayed at Earth Lodge, whose organic design and understated luxury blended perfectly with the surroundings. The rooms were spacious and so comfortable that you immediately felt at home.
We even saw some animals at the private pool - waterbugs, antelopes and once even an elephant. Thanks to the experienced staff, we felt safe at all times. I particularly liked the fact that many female rangers are also trained here. At Sabi Sabi, you can feel the passion and care with which the camp is run - down to the smallest detail.
